• Business name, trade category, license number, and service area (Pros)
• ZIP code and project description (Clients posting jobs)
• Messages sent between Clients and Pros through the Platform
• Payment information processed through our payment processor (Stripe)
• Photos or files you upload to job requests or profiles
• Reviews and ratings you submit

Information collected automatically:

• Device type, operating system, and browser
• IP address and approximate location derived from it
• Pages visited, time spent, and actions taken on the Platform
• Push notification token (mobile app, with your permission)
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To match Clients with qualified local Pros
• To facilitate messaging, estimates, invoices, and payments
• To send push notifications and emails about your jobs and leads
• To verify Pro credentials and maintain platform safety
• To improve the Platform and develop new features
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
• To comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it in the following circumstances:

• With other users: Pro profiles (name, trade, service area, reviews) are visible to Clients. Client job requests are shared with relevant Pros in their area.
• Service providers: We use third-party vendors (e.g., Stripe for payments, Firebase for push notifications, hosting providers) who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public.
• Business transfers: In a merger or acquisition, your information may be transferred as a business asset.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us at support@smtconstructions.com. We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, and access controls to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.
